Team Creation and Management

Cannot Create a Team

Problem: Team creation button is missing or not working

Solution:

  • • Ensure you're logged in with a valid account
  • • Check if the Teams link appears in your navigation
  • • Refresh the page or clear browser cache
  • • Try using a different browser

Team Slug Already Exists

Problem: Getting error that team slug is already taken

Solution:

  • • Try a different team name (slug is auto-generated)
  • • Add numbers or descriptive words to make it unique
  • • Use organization or project-specific prefixes

Cannot Invite Members

Problem: Invitation emails are not being sent

Solution:

  • • Verify you have Admin or Owner permissions
  • • Check the email address is correct
  • • Ensure the recipient has an Insurgent Ink account
  • • Check spam/junk folders for invitation emails

API Key Issues

API Key Not Working

Problem: Translation fails with API key errors

Solution:

  • • Test the API key in Settings to verify it works
  • • Check if the API key has sufficient credits/quota
  • • Verify the key hasn't expired
  • • Try regenerating the key from your provider

No Translation Providers Available

Problem: Dropdown shows no providers when creating translations

Solution:

  • • Add at least one API key in Settings
  • • Ensure the API key is enabled and tested
  • • Check that the provider supports your source/target language
  • • Refresh the page after adding new keys

Document Issues

Document Upload Fails

Problem: Cannot upload documents or upload gets stuck

Solution:

  • • Check file size (max 10MB for most formats)
  • • Ensure file format is supported (PDF, DOCX, TXT, EPUB, ODT)
  • • Try compressing large files
  • • Check internet connection stability

Document Processing Stuck

Problem: Document shows as "Processing" for too long

Solution:

  • • Wait a few minutes for large documents
  • • Refresh the page to check updated status
  • • Try re-uploading the document
  • • Contact support if issue persists

Translation Issues

Translation Takes Too Long

Problem: Translation process is very slow or gets stuck

Solution:

  • • Large documents are processed in segments (this is normal)
  • • Check the progress bar for current status
  • • Some providers have rate limits that cause delays
  • • Try using a different provider if available

Translation Quality Issues

Problem: Translation results are poor or incorrect

Solution:

  • • Try different AI providers (OpenAI, Anthropic, DeepL)
  • • Use higher-quality models if available
  • • Check document OCR quality for scanned documents
  • • Provide feedback to help improve results

General Issues

Page Not Loading

Problem: Pages are slow to load or not loading at all

Solution:

  • • Clear browser cache and cookies
  • • Try using an incognito/private browsing window
  • • Check internet connection
  • • Try a different browser

Login Issues

Problem: Cannot log in or getting authentication errors

Solution:

  • • Check username/email and password are correct
  • • Try password reset if forgotten
  • • Ensure account is activated (check email)
